Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting, budgeting, grant management and audit functions.
- Lead and develop finance staff, while managing financial services provided to external municipal partners.
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls, ensure audit compliance, and annual financial reporting.
- Contribute to strategic planning and senior management initiatives, ensuring financial integrity across departments.
- Prepare and present financial reports to leadership in a public forum.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public sector, non-profit, or government finance or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, GASB standards, audits, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP software and quick adaptability to new financial systems.
