Position Overview:
The Plant Accountant will play a crucial role in our financial operations, reporting directly to the Plant Manager and the Financial Controller. This position is responsible for managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), overseeing banking functions, maintaining inventory accounting and control, and reviewing payroll. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is essential, with a preference for candidates familiar with Infor LN and advanced Excel skills such as PowerQuery and PowerBI.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Vendor payments and coordinate the AP data entry
- Manage Customer deposits and coordinate invoicing and AR data entry
- Vendor and Customer balance reconciliation
- Manage other banking functions
- Maintain accurate inventory accounting and control.
- Review and process payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Financial Controller to support overall financial goals.
- Utilize ERP systems for financial management; knowledge of Infor LN is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Plant Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Infor LN is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Office365 with proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly required to sit for long periods-of-time, use of hands, and fingers, ability to reach with hands and arms, able to talk and hear. The employee may occasionally stand and walk.
