Our operations include Brew Park (an indoor dog park and bar), Pet Retreat (a premium dog daycare and boarding facility), and Vet Partners (a full-service veterinary hospital). We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support the financial needs of our businesses.
Position Summary:
The Part-Time Accountant Clerk will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the day-to-day financial operations across our three businesses. This includes bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and supporting budgeting efforts. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in managing multi-entity finances.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial records for all three business entities
- Perform weekly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
- Process accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare monthly financial statements and summaries for ownership
- Track and categorize expenses accurately
- Collaborate with leadership on budget planning and financial strategy
- Assist Accountants with quarterly and year-end financial reporting and tax preparation
- Maintain organized digital records and ensure financial compliance
- Communicate regularly with business managers to support financial clarity
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proficient in Excel and cloud-based documentation tools
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently across multiple entities
- Prior experience in veterinary, pet services, or hospitality industries is a plus
Position Details:
- Part-time: 15–25 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling; hybrid options available after onboarding
- Hourly rate based on experience ($20–$25/hr)
