Registered Nurse (RN) - Electrophysiology

Location: Anchorage, AK

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner medical center's Electrophysiology (EP) Lab in Anchorage, Alaska. This full-time, day shift position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac arrhythmias.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, such as cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and electrophysiology studies.
• Collaborate closely with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective patient care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic parameters, and other vital signs during procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, procedures, and recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and procedures.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification
• 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a critical care or telemetry setting.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in electrophysiology or a related cardiac specialty.
• Certification in Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
