Payroll Specialist
Summary/Objective
This position will manage a variety of duties to support the bi-weekly payroll function, including checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards and keeping time and attendance records.
Essential Functions
- Reviews and audits payroll, timekeeping, and supplemental pay records for compliance with established standards for each bi-weekly payroll.
- Posts changes in pay, tax status, and miscellaneous employee changes.
- Aids in pulling and organizing data for external audit requests.
- Completes employment verifications and state employment verification requests.
- Processes garnishments, tax levies, and other wage attachments, responding promptly to required deadlines.
- Processes tax notices and financial reconciliations.
- Aids in the running of payroll reports to ensure accuracy of data.
- Aids in the production and dissemination of sales commission workbooks.
- Mailing out live checks and processing unclaimed checks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience in a service or SAAS environment (Ceridian, ADP, Ultimate, Paychex).
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll; wage withholding and garnishments.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Excellent client and communication skills.
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
- Ability in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) required.
- Strong analytical skills and diligence.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have sound decision-making skills and multi-task while working in a challenging environment with specific deadlines.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
