Construction Project Superintendent

We are seeking an on-site Construction Project Superintendent with structural steel project experience to oversee and manage a construction project located northeast of the Tuscaloosa, AL area. The timeline for this project is approximately eight to nine months to completion. The ideal candidate will have experience managing various aspects of a large structural steel project to include coordinating with and managing the work of on-site subcontractors. Successful project completion could lead to additional assigned projects or long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction projects from conception to completion
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Review project plans, specifications, and schedules
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time
• Monitor and report on project progress
• Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors
• Ensure quality control and safety compliance measures are in place and followed

• Proficiency in construction management software
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating and project scheduling
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Experience within the steel industry, specifically managing large structural steel projects
• Proficiency in construction management software
• Strong project scheduling and coordination skills
• Experience in construction estimating and management
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Familiarity with quality control processes
• Knowledge of ProCore, Bluebeam, and Primavera P6
