What You'll Do:
Design & Documentation:
- Transform client needs into precise construction documents, including blueprints, schematics, and layouts.
- Innovate and develop design concepts tailored to unique client specifications.
- Collaborate and coordinate drawings to resolve design clashes.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other advanced software for design activities.
- Create comprehensive designs from sketches, drawings, and scanned images.
- Reference and incorporate industry codes and standards into your designs.
Analysis:
- Dive deep into blueprints and construction drawings to prepare essential HVAC and plumbing calculations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather all necessary project data and ensure alignment with their needs.
Collaboration & Support:
- Conduct thorough site surveys and engage with vendors for optimal equipment selection.
- Support engineers, project managers, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
- Actively participate in project and progress meetings to keep everything on track.
Compliance & Communication:
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
- Exhibit strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively.
- Take on assigned tasks as needed to ensure project success.
What You'll Bring:
Technical Proficiency:
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and pipefitting systems design.
- Mechanical aptitude coupled with basic mathematical skills.
- Experience with building load simulation software, such as Carrier HAP.
- Ability to self-check your work for accuracy and completeness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Fabrication CADmep, Navisworks Manage, and Revit is preferred.
Interpersonal & Communication Skills:
- Ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
- Strong skills in communication, scheduling, and analysis.
Work Environment Adaptability:
- Versatility to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or completion of a technical trade school in a construction-related discipline preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in construction or project-related roles preferred.
