Under general supervision, at the full-performance level work in multi-step clerical tasks providing support for the programs and services provided by the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department's Environmental Services division. Duties include, but are not limited to, data entry, records management, handling payments including cash, preparing correspondence and other related documents, direct customer service and answering telephone calls. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs/Google applications, and the ability to learn additional database programs is required. Applicants must enjoy working with the public and present a pleasant demeanor in person and over the phone. Performs related tasks as required.

Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.
 
Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
Substitution: College hours, related business school, or vocational training may be substituted through an established formula for the required experience.
