Under general supervision in the Radiation, Toxics and Indoor Air Division of the Office of Environmental Health Services, this position performs work at the full-performance level. This position is responsible for conducting complex technical and field inspection work in health care and industrial facilities to determine compliance with various state and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Duties include on-site surveys of mammography facilities, hospitals, physicians and dental offices, chiropractic offices and other health care facilities utilizing medical radiography, industrial radiography facilities and radioactive material facilities. Serves on the State Emergency Radiological Assistance Team. Other duties as may be assigned.Frequent travel, including overnight, is required. A valid driver's license is required.

Training: Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major in radiologic technology, nuclear medicine, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering or closely related scientific field.
Special Requirement: Must possess a valid driver's license at the time of hire and must maintain such for duration of employment.
