We are looking for candidates with mechanical aptitude and a drive to learn, with the goal of advancement within the department. Western Express is an asset-based trucking company headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with terminals and facilities located across the United States. We offer competitive benefits package, excellent pay, fun environment, and opportunity for growth within the company. This is a full-time position scheduled 45 hours weekly. Principle Duties Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair fleet of dry van and flatbed semi-truck and trailer bodies, systems, and components Preventative maintenance to include preventative, warrantable and accident related repairs Inspection of suspension, wheel-end, braking and structural components to match company and DOT specifications Test equipment for performance issues Must be self-motivated, punctual, and eager to learn Work Experience Two years of verifiable experience is preferred but not required Tooling is required; applicable to repairs listed in job description. Main air tools will be provided Must perform at 85% or above productivity and 95% or above efficiency Benefits available through Blue Cross Blue Shield to include Medical, Dental, Vision, also a Fidelity 401(k).
