What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extruder Operator position at Winchester Interconnect?
We have an exciting opportunity for an extruder operator on the second (4:00 pm - 12:00 am) or the third shift. (12:00 am - 8:00 am). What is the Extruder Operator Accountable for?
- Ability to operate extruder at required speeds
- Set up extruder and center cable to insulation within required tolerances
- Complete required tests on cable and perform all departmental tasks
- Must show the ability to perform to minimum acceptable productivity levels
How does the Extruder Operator Collaborate?
- This position will also be responsible to perform tasks such as fill in on other extrusion lines, work floor, and perform miscellaneous tasks as directed by the supervisor.
What is the Extruder Operator Empowered to do?
- Willingness to make changes to improve job performance
- Strong communication and people skills required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent people management skills
Criteria for Success:
- Mechanical ability
- Read a micrometer
- Must be able to pass color test
- Load and unload pay-off reels
- Familiarity with in-process test procedures
- Understanding of manufacturing specifications
- Must be able to work required overtime
