Responsibilities
Patituce & Associates, LLC is a criminal defense firm providing representation throughout Ohio at all local, state, and federal levels. This includes representation beginning in the investigatory phase through trial as well as through appellate and post-conviction remedies.
We offer paid time off, family leave, health insurance, CLEs, and biannual licensing fees. We also provide a stipend to cover gas and parking costs.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
- Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
- Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis
- Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
- Travel to courts all over Ohio to represent clients in criminal defense matters
- Demand, collect, and review discovery in federal, and state felonies, and local misdemeanors
- Communicate with clients and provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs
- Review and analyze evidence so that all legal challenges may be raised
- Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
- Represent clients at trial as both a first-chair and second-chair attorney
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
- Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
