REMAN GENERAL OPERATOR

The Re-manufacturing Operator works in a fast-paced, automated sawmill. Successful candidate will be in charge of running and maintaining the Notcher, Resaw, and stacker outfeed equipment as assigned. All Woodgrain employees are expected to exemplify our core values and put safety above all.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations and Performance Measures What measures or metrics will the individual be measured on and what level of performance is required? Other duties may be assigned.

• Monitor equipment and lumber flow for issues that interrupt production.
• Work with maintenance personnel to perform light preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance and cross training of any one or more of the following machine centers:
• Resaw
• Notcher
• Helper Stacker
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Certification

• High school diploma or GED
• Production experience a plus
• 1 year of experience working in manufacturing preferred
• Sawmill experience a plus
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to learn computer systems
• Must be a safety minded individual who is comfortable working in a production environment.
• Lifting and physical activity is required for this position, must be able to move boards and wood pieces.
  
  

Reporting Line and Supervisory Responsibilities

Reports to the ReMan Coordinator. This position does not have any supervisory.
