Position Overview: The Field Service Associate is responsible for repairs, constructs, and replaces structural woodwork (such as sashes, doors, and cabinetwork) and equipment.
Principal Responsibilities
Exceptional finger and manual dexterity required to successfully perform required tasks, including the ability to frequently lift up to 85 pounds and/or pushing 100 pounds, bend, crouch, stand, and sit for long durations.
Principal Responsibilities
- Investigates and resolves product problems for customers
- Visually inspects product (windows, doors, millwork, and sashes to determine extent of repairs required
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
- Builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, windows, doors, building framework, and trim
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices
- Repairs, installs or replaces defective parts
- Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair
- Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions
- Other duties as described by manager
- High school diploma or GED with 0 – 3 years of experience; or a combinations of education and experience REQURIED
- Familiarity with door components, finishing products and assembly techniques
- Experience utilizing manufacturing tools/machinery (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun, etc.)
- Forklift certification preferred
- CDL certification preferred
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos
- Ability to perform basic mathematic functions
