This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an Inspector for our clients' site in Lawrenceville, New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Your Impact
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Field Inspection / documenting of bridge / highway construction
- Able to read and understand design and specifications
- Perform quantity calculations and be able to track Time and Material (T&M)
- Prepare a daily report document work that has been performed, crew size, etc.
- Inspect and document construction activities under clients policies and procedures
- Familiar with the use of Microsoft office - word and excel. Be able to upload into Management System
- Oversee safety and traffic control set up to ensure conformance with Plans and MUTCD
- Work collaboratively with other professionals, scientists, engineers, inspectors, project control, and technicians on assigned inspection phases, checks, and tasks.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- NICET Level II or III in related field - Roadway/Drainage/Ground Improvments
- 7 years experience in Roadway/Drainage/Ground Improvements
- Highway and Bridge construction experience on significant size projects - over $3M
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
- Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Construction Management
- Knowledge of interpreting plans and specifications
