About the Role As a Maintenance Supervisor at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all plant equipment. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance management. You will directly contribute to operational uptime, equipment longevity, and continuous improvement efforts that support our production goals. You will collaborate with maintenance technicians, production teams, engineering, and quality departments to ensure seamless plant operations and rapid response to equipment issues. This is role located in Farrell, PA. What You’ll Do • Supervises, trains, and mentors maintenance technicians to ensure efficient daily operations • Oversees and participates in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment, including mills, welders, cutting systems, and material handling machinery • Develops and implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase equipment lifespan • Enforces OSHA and company safety policies, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment • Responds promptly to equipment breakdowns and coordinates emergency repairs to minimize production disruptions • Monitors and manages spare parts inventory and coordinates procurement of critical components • Identifies and implements maintenance process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness • Maintains detailed documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and compliance reports • Collaborates with production, engineering, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives Who You Are • 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel manufacturing or heavy industry • 2 years of supervisory experience leading a maintenance team • Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered) • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; welding and fabrication experience is a plus • Proven problem-solver with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues • Proficient in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office • Well-versed in OSHA safety standards and industrial safety best practices What You’ll Get Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
