Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Swim Instructors are enthusiastic and portray a positive attitude. You'll need to relate positively to a variety of people including other staff and parents and kiddos. Instructors must be organized, and eager to teach. We provide the lesson plans. Group classes and private lesson openings are available.
Qualifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Current ARC/YMCA First Aid, and CPR-PR Certifications. We can provide you with this class prior to assignment.
- Experience teaching swim lessons or previous competitive swimming experience is not necessary but preferred.
- Proficient swimming and safety/rescue skills
- Professional, alert, courteous, and tactful
- Blood Borne Pathogens Training within 30 days of being hired
- YMCA Swim
Benefits
All Employees receive a free individual membership and anyone working 10 hours receive a free family membership, 50-100% off our programs and if eligible, we contribute the equivalent of 12% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund. Childcare benefits of more than $5000 are considered taxable income and will be processed accordingly. Limitations and restrictions apply to some programs.
Part-Time employees also receive paid sick time at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
