Responsibilities of the Civil Litigation Secretary
- Aid attorneys in preparing legal documents (pleadings, briefs, motions, subpoenas).
- Maintain precise case files and document systems with confidentiality.
- Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and coordination.
- Conduct legal research and communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
- Draft legal documents, memos, and handle administrative tasks.
- 3 years as a civil litigation secretary in a law firm.
- Strong grasp of civil litigation processes, court rules, and deadlines.
- Preferred experience in title and/or construction-related cases.
- Proficient in legal research, software, databases.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
- Familiarity with local courts and e-filing required
- Associate degree/certification in legal studies preferred.
