We've been engaged by a top boutique law firm to identify a strong Pre Litigation Paralegal!
Case Preparation:
Gather, review, and organize evidence and documentation relevant to cases.
Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents such as demand letters, settlement agreements, and legal pleadings.
Conduct factual and legal research to support case strategy and legal arguments.
Client and Witness Interaction:
Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and manage their expectations.
Coordinate and schedule interviews or depositions with witnesses and experts.
Documentation and Filing:
Maintain and update case files and databases with relevant information and documentation.
Ensure proper filing and organization of legal documents, both electronically and physically.
Legal Research:
Perform research on legal issues, case law, and statutory regulations as needed.
Summarize findings and present them to attorneys for review and strategy development.
Case Management:
Track and manage deadlines and key dates related to pre-litigation activities.
Prepare and manage discovery requests and responses, including interrogatories and requests for documents.
Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating communication among all parties involved in the case.
Assist in preparing case presentations and organizing evidence for potential settlement discussions.
Qualifications:
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of [3-5] years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on pre-litigation or a related legal field.
Skills:
Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Proficiency in legal research tools, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
High level of attention to detail and organizational skill
Standard office environment with occasional travel for client meetings or court appearances.
Full-time position with typical office hours, though flexibility may be required to meet deadlines.
