Job Title: Senior Human Resource Generalist
Job Description:
We are currently hiring for a full-time onsite Senior Human Resources Generalist (SHRG) located in our South Bronx Administration office. The SRHG is responsible for performing and leading HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other members of the HR team and the executive team supporting the overall mission of the organization.
This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, policy and procedures, training and development, and employment law compliance with support to talent and onboarding.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and support benefit administration for all staff and locations. This includes open enrollment, benefit system changes, and employee education.
- Oversee & execute full cycle of DOL Unemployment inquires, payments, and unemployment hearings.
- Support maintenance of employee talent profiles in HRIS, including credentials and licensures.
- Maintain hiring avenues; relationships; including staffing and intern recruitment sources (i.e. training institutes, schools, temp and employment agencies).
- Support hiring process and guidelines; ensuring hiring packages are complete, accurate, and in-line with agency standards.
- Support programs with internal transfer process. Ensure all staffing changes, job descriptions, writing samples and credentials are updated and maintained to agency guidelines.
- Provide analytic reports to the executive team, as needed.
- Advise management on implementation of policy and procedures as they relate to agency policies and procedures.
- HR implementation and optimization project lead.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Criteria:
- 4 years of full cycle of employee benefits administration
- 4 years of human resource generalist experience
- 2-4 years of HRIS knowledge and execution
- 2-4 years of full cycle of DOL experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- SHRM CP or PHR desired
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
