What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Fund Accounting position at Atlas Search?
An elite private equity fund of fund shop in Manhattan is looking to hire an experienced Vice President to oversee fund operations and fund reporting, as well as manage a team of fund accountants. This will be a true leadership position; driving process improvements, building carried interest models, onboarding new funds and much more.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of fund of funds structures including:
- Fund Operations including; preparation of capital calls and distributions, management fee calculations and cash reconciliations
- Fund Reporting including; preparation of quarterly financial statements required for the public company reporting as well as LP reporting, preparation of annual audited GAAP financial statements and create and communicate quarterly valuations, commitment and cash flow reports to LPs
- Working with IT to modify Investran to accommodate fund of funds
- Onboarding new funds
- Create carried interest models and work with IT to develop in Investran
- Assist the Business with quarterly presentations for LPs
- Prepare ad hoc reports, as needed
- Assist in driving accounting, reporting and business process simplification and efficiency initiatives
Job Requirements:
- 9 years of fund accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of fund of fund structures and carried interest models
- Ability to read and understand legal documents and financial statements
- Strong finance business acumen, quickly be able to understand their business and its complexities
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build relationships and work well across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and experience with Investran a plus
Salary : $175,000 - $215,000
