About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic, preparing equipment and assisting providers during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing within scope of license.
- Screen patients for appropriate information, including obtaining health history, taking vitals, and conducting patient evaluations.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, assist doctors as directed, and review lab, hospital, and other reports, posting in charts as necessary.
- Maintain exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials, prepare lists of medical supplies needed, and complete patient care interventions, including assisting with lab draws and test procedures, starting peripheral IVs, chest and extremity x-rays, and EKGs.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited school or program.
- Breath, Alcohol, and Drug Collection Certification - Licensing Board (if providing services in Occupational Medicine) within 180 days.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Board of Nursing: active license in the state of practice upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years of clinic nursing experience.
