Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan Joint Commission and other licensing accrediting and regulatory agencies. Plans directs manages/conducts and evaluates educational activities in Critical Care areas and programs which include general nursing mandatory education and nursing orientation. In addition he/she provides support and direction for patient management and standards for quality patient care.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- CA RN and BLS required.
- INSTRUCTOR-BLS ACLS status required within 1 year of hire.
- PALS provider required within 6 months of hire.
- BSN must be obtained within 2 years
- Minimum of five (5) years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- Recent progressive experience in nursing and progressive experience in nursing education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience in education and staff development preferred.
Special Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work with employees from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Able to work with staff and public under a variety of circumstances.
- Work at a fast pace in an active work environment
