Position Description: Under the direction of the Human Resources Technician I, the student is responsible for completing the duties and tasks assigned to aid in the department's daily routine. Position Responsibilities: 49.00% - Perform general office duties for Human Resources which would include, but not limited to: filing, scanning employee personnel files and other payroll forms, and creating employee personnel file folders. 46.00% - Assists the office with paper shredding, mailings and errands. 5.00% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned. Expectations: Understanding and maintaining confidentiality in work. Detail orientated, accuracy in work and legible handwriting. Interpersonal and customer service skills. Written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience - Alphabetizing, filing, computer and keyboarding Education - Enrolled in applicable Barton credit hours during fall and spring semesters Other skills - Knowing when to ask questions and seek assistance with a task Physical Requirements: The work requires minor physical exertion such as short periods of standing, walking over rough uneven surfaces, some recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities. Job may require recurring lifting of lightweight objects with infrequent bending or stooping alternating with the lighter activities.
