A well-established, full-service law firm is seeking a mid-level Intellectual Property Associate with a focus on trademark and copyright litigation to join its New York office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys working on high-stakes IP disputes and advising clients operating in fast-moving, innovation-driven industries.
The role offers exposure to a broad range of trademark and copyright matters, including enforcement, defense, and strategic counseling. Attorneys in this group work closely with experienced partners and multidisciplinary teams, gaining hands-on responsibility while continuing to refine their litigation and client-management skills. Key Responsibilities
• Advise clients on trademark and copyright litigation strategy, enforcement, and risk mitigation
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials
• Participate in all phases of litigation, including case development, discovery, and dispute resolution
• Collaborate with attorneys across related practices to support complex IP matters
• Communicate directly with clients from a wide range of industries, tailoring advice to business objectives
• Assist with dispute resolution strategy, including negotiations and settlement discussions
• Manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work product

Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in trademark and copyright litigation
• Admission to practice law in New York or California
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in team-based matters

• Prior experience at a national law firm is preferred
