A highly respected law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its New Orleans office. This role is ideal for a litigator with a proven track record in high-stakes business disputes, offering the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution with significant client interaction and courtroom advocacy.

Founded almost 85 years ago, this reputed law firm has offices in California and Nevada. It focuses on employment and labor law, and specializes in the nuances of employee benefits practice, class action practice, appellate advocacy practice, civil rights practice, and whistleblower practice. Key Responsibilities:

• Represent business clients in complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and regulatory matters.

• Manage all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and trial.

• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and litigation strategy plans.

• Advocate for clients in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings.

• Advise clients on litigation risks, strategic options, and dispute resolution alternatives.

• Collaborate with internal teams, co-counsel, and expert witnesses to build strong cases.

• Maintain compliance with court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar (in good standing); admission to federal courts in Louisiana preferred.

• At least 8 years of commercial litigation experience with substantial case management responsibilities.

• Strong courtroom experience, including hearings, motion practice, and trials.

• In-depth understanding of Louisiana procedural and substantive law.
