Senior Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney – Plaintiff Advocacy | Johnstown, PA

A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney with at least 7 years of plaintiff-focused litigation experience to join its Johnstown office. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex contested estate matters, including high-stakes will and trust disputes, fiduciary misconduct cases, and inheritance claims, while working closely with clients navigating sensitive family dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent beneficiaries, heirs, and interested parties in contested probate and trust litigation.

• Handle disputes involving will contests, breach of fiduciary duty, undue influence, lack of capacity, and misappropriation of assets.

• Manage all litigation phases, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals.

• Draft persuasive legal documents, including petitions, motions, and briefs.

• Conduct in-depth legal research and develop strategic litigation plans.

• Advocate effectively in court and during settlement negotiations or mediation.

• Collaborate with estate planners, accountants, and forensic experts as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the Pennsylvania State Bar in good standing.

• At least 7 years of litigation experience, with a concentration in trusts and estates.

• Proven track record of successfully managing contested estate cases from inception to resolution.

• Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania probate laws and procedures.
