Job Responsibilities
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of teaching areas subject matter and teaches courses during the day, evening, Saturday, on campus and off campus, dual-enrolled and online when requested. Evaluates students' progress and maintains accurate administrative records pertaining to classes. Prepares daily lectures. Prepares and evaluates tests, exams, projects, research assignments, and other course assignments. Utilizes outcome data and student evaluations to improve courses. Develops new ideas and methods for instruction and prepares supplemental course materials to enhance instruction. Evaluates projects, research assignments and other course assignments to determine effectiveness. Examines new textbooks, including computer and instructional software, to improve instruction. Examines program/course content to achieve program and College goal. Performs college administrative duties, attends College meetings, and assists with recruiting efforts. Performs other duties which advance the mission of the College. Formulates and develops a professional development plan consistent with the College and programs' goals. Counsels students with academic, career, and personal needs.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master's degree in the teaching discipline; or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
