Job Summary
CFGO is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our growing team servicing clients within life science / biotech. This individual will be heavily involved in the monthly and quarterly financial statement close process, the annual audit and other financial and accounting systems. The individual will also be responsible for supporting and driving financial close, travel and expense administration, providing payroll assistance and processing accounts payable.
This position is fully remote; however, candidates must live within 90 miles of Boston
Responsibilities
• Assist with month end process, such as bank reconciliations, intercompany transaction reconciliation, inventory reporting, general ledger adjustments etc.
• Assist with the annual external audit process for the financials
• Assist with cost analysis reporting
• Generate accounting reports requested internally and externally as needed
• File company monthly and quarterly sales taxes
• Assist with annual 1099 reporting process
• Partner with Controller on any accounting issues requiring assistance or support
• Assist with any other ad hoc projects
• Please note these are the basic responsibilities but not limited to any other projects that are needed based on our needs.
Requirements
• Proven working experience as a senior accountant
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an emphasis in Accounting, or a related field
• 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; Access, database, or other system knowledge
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license preferrable but not required
