What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery and Outside Sales position at Chick-fil-A?
As a Delivery Driver & Outside Sales Team Member at Chick-fil-A Waterloo, your role is to deliver exceptional guest service through mobile distribution points such as our food trailer, Chick-fil-A Delivery, and restaurant operations. You will be responsible for transporting and operating our food trailer or kiosk to off-site locations, selling at UNI events, and completing delivery orders as needed. When not on delivery or outside sales assignments, you will serve as a Front-of-House Team Member where you will work in operations to provide great service and genuine hospitality to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Outside Sales
- Safely operate a company vehicle and tow a food trailer to scheduled off-site distribution locations.
- Set up and manage food trailer or kiosk operations, ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
- Represent Chick-fil-A at events or satellite locations with professionalism and a guest-first attitude.
- Collaborate with leadership to execute mobile distribution strategies and meet sales goals.
- Load and unload food products, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Operate the Chick-fil-A Delivery vehicles or your personal vehicle to deliver orders to guests homes.
Front-of-House Responsibilities
- Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas.
- Support drive-thru, dining room, and carry-out operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 18 years old (required for insurance and driving responsibilities).
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Comfortable and capable of driving a truck with a trailer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
- Must have a vehicle that you can use to complete deliveries.
