Essential Duties
Duties as Forestry Crew Worker include fuel reduction and hazard
mitigation within the Prescott Fire Wise Community. Duties may entail
brush clearing under adverse conditions related to climate and terrain.
May be required to assist in snow removal according to snow response
policy and procedures. Utilizing a variety of specialized tools,
equipment, and techniques on fuels management projects. Tools experience
may include chain saw, Pulaski, shovel, McLeod, rake, and other custom
tools, brush chipper, and pole saw. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Physical Demands And Working Conditions
Arduous. Duties involve rigorous field work requiring above average
physical performance, endurance, and superior conditioning. Work
requires prolonged standing, walking over uneven ground, recurring
bending, stretching, reaching, lifting, and carrying items over 50
pounds for possibly long distances in possibly adverse weather and
temperatures.
Sufficient to effectively and safely perform required duties and to
safely operate required equipment and City vehicles as needed.
