What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Faculty, Construction/Building Trades position at Coconino Community College?
This part time faculty position would be responsible for teaching one or all of the assigned Construction Technology Management (CTM) courses. We are recruiting for the following in-person courses:
CTM 111 – Plumbing (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 130 – Blue Print Reading and Estimating (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 133 – Solar Green House Design (1 Credit Hour)
CTM 134 - Rain Water Harvesting (1 Credit Hour)
CTM 150 – Basic Electrical Theory (AC/DC introduction) (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 151 – House Wiring (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 211 – International Residential Code (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 224 - Concrete & Masonry Systems (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 235 – Solar Home Design (CADD experience preferred) (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 250 – Innovative Building Materials (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 253 – Plane Surveying & building Layout (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 260 – Green Building I (3 Credit Hours)
CTM 288 – Construction Supervision & Scheduling (3 Credit Hours)
Part-time faculty must be able to work collegially in a team environment. This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position. Employment is determined on a course to course, semester to semester basis.
Special note for any applicant who resides outside of the State of Arizona: If you are selected for a role with CCC and do not move to Arizona, your employment will be through Kelly Educational Services.
Hiring pay is $1,107 per load hour

- Teach assigned courses, adhering to course outlines and student learning objectives.
- Prepare and implement syllabi in accordance with college procedures and course outline.

- Check CCC email and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Attend college meetings as required. This includes New Faculty Orientation upon hire and a beginning of semester all faculty meeting.
- Participate in student assessment and relevant program assessment as directed by the Dean or Vice President.
- Remain current in practices, trends, and research related to discipline area.
- Actively engages Assessment of Courses and works to engage in college wide assessment program.
- Follow the same accepted standards of conduct as the full-time faculty as described in applicable administrative procedures which relate to satisfactory service and conduct becoming a faculty member.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the area of Construction Technology Management and two years directly related industry experience OR
Associate's Degree in any of the area of Construction Technology Management and four years directly related industry experience
Preferred
Industry Related Experience.
Master's Degree (or higher) in the field of Construction Technology Management
