The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is seeking a highly motivated and specialized candidate with clerical experience and great customer service for our Licensing Information Center. As a LCB Licensing Technician 1, you will be responsible for answering inquiries regarding the licensing process and about specific applications, licenses, and permits. You will perform both routine and moderately complex review of liquor license and permit applications in support of the licensing program administered by the PLCB.

This position provides support to Pennsylvania’s 14,503 retail and 1,213 wholesale license holders. In addition, this position provides support to legislative offices, Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) executive staff, attorneys, Liquor Control Enforcement (LCE), other state agencies, municipal staff, and the general public worldwide.
The PLCB Information Center is the main point of contact providing information regarding mandated policies and procedures, tax clearance issues, business requirements, and special allowances to maintain compliance with the Liquor Code, Title 40, Acts and Governor’s directives. This position maintains a team structure and works closely with all other areas of the PLCB to ensure correct information is provided to both internal and external customers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will need to report to the office on a rotating basis, once every 7 weeks for one week at a time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of clerical experience supporting a legal, licensing, or other regulatory program requiring the application of statutes, program policies, or industry regulations, and graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
