Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities, assisting with daily living skills, personal care, and household tasks
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and encourage their participation in community events and activities
- Administer medications according to training and maintain accurate health and behavioral records
- Foster a safe, clean, and respectful environment in the home or community settings
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and external providers to ensure high-quality, person-centered support
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in caregiving, social work, or a related field is preferred but not required; training is provided
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to advocating for individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and eligibility to become a company driver
- Ability to pass a background check
- Capable of performing physical tasks required for the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- This is a full-time position in a 24/7 group home setting with shifts that may include evenings and/or weekends. CAS strives to create schedules that meet both the needs of our staff and the individuals we support
