Medical Assistant

  • Contract to Hire* Location: Henrico, VA Schedule: M-F either 8-4:30 or 8:30-5 Interview: On-site or virtual Pay: $19-23 DOE Openings: 2

Job Overview: Looking for an experienced CMA to join a busy cardiology practice! Average of 70 patients a day! Must have EKG / BP experience. Need reliable candidates that are a good fit.

Job Responsibilities

  • Measure Vital Signs
  • Greet and Room Patients
  • Preparing rooms for patients to be seen
  • Taking notes/Keeping records
  • EKGs
  • Answering phones and screening patients
  • Reviewing Medication Records
  • Updating patient information EMR (Athena)
  • Maintaining supplies and equipment
  • Sterilizing Instruments

Qualifications/Requirements

  • MA Diploma or Cert is fine upon temp hire. Must get National Cert upon Perm hire.
  • BLS (only required within the first month but they offer in house classes upon hire)
  • EMR (Will Train on Athena)
