What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Technician position at Compunnel Inc.?
We are seeking a Research Technician for our BioMonitoring R&D Team in Bellevue, WA, to support new product development and improvement projects to extend our food pathogen diagnostics portfolio. As a member of a global cross-functional team and matrix organization, the successful candidate will technically support projects that are in line with BioMonitoring strategy and participate in planning the studies, analyzing the data and presenting to the team for a scientific discussion.
Up to 15% travel within and outside of US
Who You Are:
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology) with 1-3 years of lab-based Life Science and Biotechnology experience
- Molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR) and experience with molecular workflow instrumentation (experience with workflow automation is beneficial)
- Experience working in a team-based BSL-II laboratory environment
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive laboratory experience in aseptic technique.
- Experience in culture media preparation
- Experience in experimental planning, data interpretation, and proposing next steps to management
- Experience in food microbiology and diagnostics in a Biohazard Safety Level II environment
- Experience in writing SOPs or QA documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel strongly preferred

Working lab setting performing microbiology task
Have basic knowledge microbiology skills
Knowledge PCR is a must. Knowledge of automations machines is preferred
Will be supporting technical leads
Ability to lift sample bags that can weigh up to 25 lbs
Able to collaborate well with a team to support different projects
