Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations to oversee their Fulfillment Center. The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in optimizing their supply chain, warehouse operations, and logistics to ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, logistics, and e-commerce fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
● Lead and manage a large team of operations professionals, including warehouse managers, supervisors, and support staff.
● Set clear goals and performance metrics for the fulfillment center to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
● Implement best practices in warehouse management and operations to maximize resource utilization.
Inventory Management:
● Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, and order picking/packing. ● Implement inventory accuracy measures and minimize shrinkage through regular audits and cycle counts.
Process Improvement:
● Continuously analyze and optimize fulfillment processes to reduce lead times, increase throughput, and improve cost-effectiveness.
● Identify and implement automation and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
● Maintain and improve quality control standards to ensure accurate order fulfillment and minimize errors.
● Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to uphold product quality standards.
Safety and Compliance:
● Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA and other relevant industry standards.
● Develop and implement safety training programs to maintain a safe work environment.
Reporting and Analytics:
● Generate regular reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and report on the fulfillment center's performance.
● Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
