Port Engineer Responsibilities
- Manage vessel maintenance schedules, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Conduct inspections and oversee repairs during dry-docking and emergency situations.
- Collaborate with vessel crews, technical superintendents, and contractors to ensure high standards of technical performance.
- Monitor fuel efficiency and environmental compliance of vessels.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support to the operations team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience as a Port Engineer or in a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of vessel maintenance, dry-docking, and repair management.
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations, including ISM and MARPOL.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
