This includes receiving, issuing, and tracking supplies and equipment, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that materials are stored and transported safely and in compliance with maritime regulations. The Storekeeper supports both drilling and marine operations, contributing to the safe and efficient functioning of the rig or vessel.
Storekeeper Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Issue tools, consumables, and spare parts to departments as needed, maintaining accurate stock records.
- Manage storage areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety.
- Operate onboard forklifts and lifting equipment for material handling and storage.
- Ensure proper documentation of shipments, material transfers, and deliveries.
- Coordinate logistics with the onshore team to ensure timely delivery and backload of cargo.
- Handle and store hazardous materials in compliance with IMDG Code and USDOT regulations.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using the company’s inventory management system.
- Adhere to safety and environmental standards, including participation in safety meetings and drills.
- Assist with crane lifts, deck operations, and rigging as needed under safe working practices.

- Medical Certificate (OGUK)
- Valid Passport (SSE)
- Security Awareness Training (Maritime)
- T-BOSIET or T-FOET
- SafeGulf Certification
- Rigger Safety Training (4hr)
- Forklift Operator Certification (Onboard) (SSE)
- Dangerous Goods Training (IMDG Code & USDOT) (SSE)
- 2–5 years of experience in offshore logistics, warehousing, or material coordination roles.
