The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the payment cycle and processing pay applications in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate will also assist with month-end closing and subcontractor payments, utilizing the Sage accounting software to ensure accurate record keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Process invoices and payments accurately and efficiently
- Manage payment cycles and ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions using Sage accounting software
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Research and resolve any discrepancies or issues with payments
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding payment status and inquiries
- Assist with other accounting tasks as needed
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable
- Strong knowledge of payment cycles and pay applications
- Experience with Sage accounting software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
