Litigation Attorney Job Description

A litigation attorney is responsible for representing clients in legal disputes, including but not limited to franchise and commercial litigation. This role requires a strong understanding of franchise law and the ability to advocate for clients in a courtroom setting. The ideal candidate should have experience as an associate attorney and be licensed to practice in the Bar association.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in legal proceedings, including but not limited to franchise and commercial litigation
• Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients
• Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings
• Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to build strong cases for clients
• Maintain accurate and organized case files
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in franchise law
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the Bar association
• 2-3 years of experience as an associate attorney, preferably in franchise law or commercial litigation
• Strong understanding of franchise law and its application in various legal disputes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
