Litigation Attorney Job Description
A litigation attorney is responsible for representing clients in legal disputes, including but not limited to franchise and commercial litigation. This role requires a strong understanding of franchise law and the ability to advocate for clients in a courtroom setting. The ideal candidate should have experience as an associate attorney and be licensed to practice in the Bar association.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including but not limited to franchise and commercial litigation
- Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients
- Draft and review legal documents, such as contracts and pleadings
- Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to build strong cases for clients
- Maintain accurate and organized case files
- Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in franchise law
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in the Bar association
- 2-3 years of experience as an associate attorney, preferably in franchise law or commercial litigation
- Strong understanding of franchise law and its application in various legal disputes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
