We’re hiring a Lathe Operator to set up and operate manual and CNC lathes to remove flame-sprayed coatings and machine anilox rolls to OEM specifications. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
1st Shift: Mon–Thurs, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
2nd Shift: Mon–Thurs, 4:15 PM – 2:45 AM

Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual/CNC lathes to machine rolls and bearing surfaces
- Remove preexisting coatings using appropriate cutting tools
- Use precision tools (micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) to ensure accuracy
- Perform setup, maintenance, and minor repairs on lathes
- Load/unload rolls using overhead crane or manually
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow SOPs and report any issues to supervisors
- Work overtime as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of lathe experience or machining school (preferred)
- Ability to read micrometers to .0001 and achieve .0005 concentricity
- Skilled in reading tape measures and using precision measuring tools
- Blueprint reading a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
