Title: Certified Special Education Teacher
Rate: Up to $65 per hour
Focused Staffing Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) with a Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification for our partner school .
The SPED Teacher will be responsible for instructing 1st and 2nd-grade classes, managing a caseload of
18-20 students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students exhibiting multiple disabilities, including autism, ADD, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional challenges, and developmental delays.
- Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and utilize progress monitoring techniques to track student growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's development.
Qualifications/Required Skills
- Education : Master’s degree in Special Education preferred.
- Certification : Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Standard Certification is required.
- Experience :
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in special education (required).
- Preferred experience includes:
- 3 years working with IEPs.
- 2 years working with students exhibiting multiple disabilities.
- 2 years working with students facing emotional challenges.
- 2 years working with students with developmental delays.
- Clearances : Must possess all current PA state clearances (Police, Child Abuse, and Fingerprinting).
- Knowledge of Special Education regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- A positive, student-centered approach with a compassionate demeanor.
Job Type

- Expected hours : 37.5 hours per week
- Schedule : Monday to Friday
Work Location
- In-person at the partner school in Phoenixville, PA.
