JOB SUMMARY:

The Cashier is responsible for providing quality service by greeting customers, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, cash register operations (POS), and loss prevention in accordance with Company standards.  The incumbent will be cross-trained to serve in both the Gift Shop and the Dispensary if age requirement is met.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
• Maintain an awareness of all product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise; participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock; ensure re-wraps are done promptly.
• Operate cash register and electronic credit card machine.
• Clean and maintain displays/store.
• Perform extra duties on slow shifts - daily, weekly, and monthly lists.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures and practices including signing, pricing, carding, and loss prevention.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and POS registers. 
• Communicate customer requests to Management.
• Any other duties as assigned by Management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS:
 Cashiers must be able to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.   Must have the ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-50 pounds.  The Cashier must have the ability to work varied hours/days, and holidays as business dictates, be reliable, work well under stress in a fast-paced environment, have good math aptitude (money handling), and flexible with scheduling.
