Position Summary:
The Security Supervisor is the immediate Supervisor of Security Officers and is directly responsible for the effective operation of the department in the absence of the Security Manager. The Security Supervisor will provide and maintain a safe environment for customers, employees, and casino assets and prevent loss of profit due to fire, theft, vandalism, embezzlement, and other forms of crime.
Qualifications – Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- The Security Supervisor must have a High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Incumbents must obtain CPR certification within one year of employment.
- Incumbent must become Tips Certified within one year of employment.
- Must have good typing, listening, problem-solving, and observation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Security experience.
- Prior Supervisory experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with issues that may involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to be alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
- Courteous, team player, reliable, self-disciplined, open-minded, helpful, confident, self-starter, flexible, and works well under stress.
- Must remain professional at all times.
- Is respectful, fair, and honest.
