Residential Technician II
GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Lone Tree, CO looking to add a Residential Technician II to their team. The role is a full-time position.
Responsibilities :
- General knowledge in the areas of installation, service, testing and maintenance of equipment including speakers, amplifiers, projectors, displays, etc.
- Ability to punch down/terminate all 66 and 110 phone blocks, assigning demark lines from outside to inside of the building, terminating and labeling data blocks, CATV distribution systems, and satellite systems.
- Installation of Control Systems. Know how to upload and download programming code from internal or external programmer
- Full understand products being sold and connection and signal routing.
- Trained eye for detail and pride in quality installation.
- Ability to install and calibrate audio systems and video projection devices.
- Understanding of different audio and video signal qualities.
- Ability to solve problems without outside assistance and ability to read and understand product manuals.
- Awareness of job-site issues and helpful resolution for Project Management.
- Excellent de-bugging skills and the ability to logically trouble shoot installations.
- Experience with termination including RJ45, DB9, HD15, RCA, BNC, and other compression, crimp or solder on terminations.
- Fiber termination, installation, and splicing a plus.
- Strong understanding of Ethernet (LAN) technologies. Ability to configure network switches, routers, and port forwarding.
- Know how to build equipment racks
- Ability to read full plans of network, phone, TV, audio and video.
- A sense of urgency for organization, and quality of work.
- Ability to work and communicate with other team members.
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions.
- Neat and legible labeling of wires and components.
Qualifications :
- Applicant must be able to safely lift equipment weighing as much as 80 lbs. regularly. Able to work comfortably on ladders, lifts and in high places as well as in tight conditions such as crawl spaces, equipment closets, and cabinets.
- Must be able to perform all tasks associated with the installation of Commercial Audio and Video Equipment
- ICIA CTS or CTS-I a plus
- Crestron, Polycom, or other manufacturer training a plus
