The Intake Manager plays a critical role in supporting Gospel Rescue Mission (GRM) by overseeing the intake process and supervising Intake Advocates. This role ensures a safe, welcoming environment while delivering high-quality supportive services. The Intake Manager is responsible ensuring the gathering information, assessing individual needs, and determining the appropriate services or resources for each guest. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General Activities
- Oversee comprehensive initial assessments of potential guests, including thorough inspections, inventories, and documentation of personal belongings
- Warmly greet and professionally engage with all guests, including visitors, volunteers, vendors, staff, donors, community groups, church representatives, and public officials
- Train, supervise, and support Intake Advocates and related staff in alignment with GRM’s values and operational standards
- Oversee the intake questionnaire process, ensuring accurate completion and consistent application of intake procedures
- Ensure proper storage, tracking, and security of guest property in accordance with GRM policies and procedures
- Oversee the accurate entering and maintaining of guest records in the database
- Under the direction of the Program Director, uphold GRM’s Standard of Excellence, and actively foster a culture of service and accountability within the Guest Services Team
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA Compliance, Privacy and Security Rules, and GRM’s Confidentiality Policy
- De-escalate emotionally or physically adverse situations using appropriate crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and redirection techniques
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations involving medical, emotional, or physical needs
- Coordinate with Security personnel and IT Security to protect the integrity of GRM facilities, especially during emergencies
- Report any safety or security concerns to the Safety & Security Manager and the Program Director
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, and the GRM Code of Ethical Conduct
- Record, track, and report intake-related outcomes and performance metrics as outlined in the department playbook
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual success goals as approved and by GRM benchmarks and strategic plan
- Attend staff meetings or other meetings as directed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years of leadership experience in social services or related field
- Certification in Peer Support preferred
- Professional phone, in-person, and written communication skills
- Effectively works on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient computer abilities using Microsoft Office and web-based management systems
- Proficient listener and problem-solver
- Ability to establish a positive rapport using sincerity and professionalism
- Maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License and have a clean driving record
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
- Must be a Christian, living a life dedicated to Christ, and be an instrument of God’s love, grace, hope, and forgiveness to all
- This individual may encounter individuals who are ill and/or contagious and must take precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking; and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds
