What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jr Estimator position at Guy Roofing?
The Jr. Estimator will supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Generate project budgets, submittals, equipment requirements, purchase orders, material lists, manpower requirements, lodging, and transportation.
- Understand the contract to ensure the Company’s responsibilities and scope of the work.
- Ensure processes are followed from prebid until completion.
- Respond to telephone and electronic communications.
- Perform word processing, photocopying, faxing, data entry, scanning, and other administrative duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mathematics and/or related fields.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple highprofile tasks.
- Strong problemsolving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and professional personal presentation.
- Great attention to detail
