Job Description
The Head Softball Coach will be responsible for leading and managing the softball program. The coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive softball program that includes recruiting, training, and coaching student-athletes. The coach will also be responsible for managing the budget, scheduling games and practices, and ensuring compliance with all NJCAA and institutional rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and retain talented student-athletes for the softball program
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for student-athletes
- Provide coaching and instruction to student-athletes during practices and games
- Manage the budget for the softball program
- Schedule games and practices
- Ensure compliance with all NJCAA and institutional rules and regulations
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote the success of the athletic department
- Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Prior coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level
- Strong knowledge of softball rules and strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to recruit and retain talented student-athletes
- Ability to manage a budget and schedule
- Commitment to compliance with NJCAA and institutional rules and regulations
