Essential Functions for the Production Operator Include:
- Operate production machines while maintaining a safe work environment and meeting all production and quality standards.
- Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Complete all necessary paperwork including, but not limited to, runtime and production output.
- Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.
Minimum Required Qualifications for the Production Operator Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment needed with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of machine operating procedures.
- Follow all quality procedures and perform all required quality checks.
- Follow all department and machine safety rules and procedures.
- Physical stamina, agility and strength is required.
